Haven't tried openhome in a while, I'll have to take another look at that one. Pandahome holds promise, but performance just hasn't been great for me. I don't like that it turned off my pattern lock setting.that's a big no-no. ![]() home screen scrolling is good.just slight unevenness to it. Srolling in the app list is good, but not completely smooth/amazing. LIkely just the change in design adding the new vertical geometry, but it will take a little getting used to. What I don't like so much about dxTop is tha it seems easier to get "lost" in terms of what screen you're on, even w/the dots. Gold star to the developers.all home screen developers should have a "do you want us to import home screen icons/widgets/shortcuts from any existing home screen?" option. That's a great feature.you can always change things, but being able to start w/my preferred setup in a new home screen (including shortcuts that are tedious to recreate) is excellent. Just bought dxTop to give it a try and it gets HUGE kudos for one thing - it brought in the desktop icons from the stock Droid home page. Free is hard to beat but for some reason I just couldn't hit the "refund" button for GDE. But if you want something that add more functionality without losing the Android 2.0 "feel" and detailed customization doesn't really bother you then GDE will be enough to make you happy. SO IMO if your the type that wants to customize everything about your droid to the theme right to the font and background of your app titles then Pandahome can make you really happy. Right now I have the stock theme installed I wish they had a black version though. ![]() Also there are themes but I find that I don't like most of them, hopefully they will come out with more. I felt like this blended more with the android 2.0 more. It doesn't have the dock in the same way, but it does have an "application dock" which places a spot where you can put more than 4 shortcuts to and scroll through them without having to move away from the screen your on. I love it!! It adds the functionality I need without changing the "feel" of Android 2.0 too much. I then tried GDE to see what all hte hype was about, I saw the rotating cube thing and thought it was kinda gimicky but I figured I'd give it a chance. I really enjoyed the dock but was bothered by how you have to touch the tiny little arrows to bring them out and for some reason it just didn't "feel" right to have on the droid (they where vertical, and it did vertical scrolling, I feel this conflicts with the horizontal scrolling method of the android 2.0). But one of the things that really bothered me was the amount of resources it used when I tried, it was smooth but sometimes it would completely freeze up. Click to expand.I first tried out pandahome and was really impressed with it. ![]()

Similarities between black steel and black iron However, we find a lot of similarities and differences while doing quick research on black steel and iron pipes. Let’s dive deeper by acknowledging some pros and cons of a black steel pipe: Pros and Cons of Black Steel Pipe In addition, the durability of black steel pipes is high compared to black iron pipes as they can prevent corrosion better. The black steel pipe is generally used in household water facilities and oil supplies. The pipe is covered with dark-colored iron oxide during manufacturing. When it comes to choosing between carbon steel pipe vs black steel pipe for your next project, there are several factors to consider including price point, durability, strength, and corrosion resistance. Black steel pipe is most commonly used for transportation of fluids such as water, gas, and oil Conclusion It can also be used for transportation of fluids such as oil and gas. UsesĬarbon steel pipe is most commonly used for structural applications such as buildings and bridges. Black steel pipe is softer and less brittle than carbon steel pipe, but it is also more difficult to weld, machine, and form. It is also easier to weld, machine, and form. ![]() Carbon steel pipe is harder and more brittle than black steel pipe. The main difference between carbon steel pipe and black steel pipe lies in their properties. Black steel pipe is made in a similar way, but the main difference is that the iron ore is not heated as high (only about 1,700☏), and there is no need to add carbon. This slag is then cooled and formed into a cake, which is then rolled into a pipe shape. Manufacturing ProcessĬarbon steel pipe is made by first heating the iron ore to a high temperature (about 2,100☏), then adding carbon to form a liquid slag. This makes it harder and more brittle, but also allows it to be welded, machined, and formed more easily. Black steel pipe is made of iron and other elements, but the main difference between the two is that carbon steel pipe has less carbon. Carbon Steel Pipe vs Black Steel Pipe CompositionĬarbon steel pipe is made of iron, carbon, and other elements. However, their cost is higher than carbon steel pipes due to their increased durability and longevity. Because they’re so strong, they can be used even under high-pressure environments without fear of bursting or cracking. They’re usually galvanized, meaning a zinc coating helps protect them from rusting over time. Black steel pipes are used primarily in industrial settings where they are subject to extreme temperatures and pressures, but they can also be used in residential projects too. It’s also called “mild steel” because its low-carbon content makes it less brittle than other types of metal pipes. Black Steel Pipeīlack steel pipe is made up of solid iron and an alloy of carbon. Additionally, it’s relatively inexpensive compared to other materials such as stainless steel or copper, making it the go-to choice for many projects that involve piping. The main benefit of using carbon steel pipe is its strength and durability it will last longer than other types of piping material and won’t corrode like other metals do in wet environments. It is a very strong material that has been used in plumbing applications for many years. Carbon Steel PipeĬarbon steel pipe is made up of an alloy of iron and carbon. In this article, we’re going to compare carbon steel pipe vs black steel pipe so you can decide which is best for your project. This is because when you’re dealing with pipes, there are several types to choose from and each one has different characteristics that make them better suited for certain applications. If you’re doing any kind of home remodeling or construction, it’s important to understand the differences between carbon steel pipe and black steel pipe. ![]() ![]() ![]() If CIG is going with a reality based approach to stealth, probably no stealth ships will ever carry missiles.
